Invite guide

How to get a Deadlock invite?

Deadlock has no separate invite code: the invite comes from a Steam friend who owns the game. Your job is to get your friend code to people who have invites. Pick one of the three ways below, or try all three.

How it works

Deadlock invite system

Invites work through Steam friendship. Someone with an invite adds you as a friend and invites you from inside the game; you never have to enter a code.

  1. 1Get your Steam account ready

The invite goes to your Steam account. Install Steam and sign in.

  2. 2Find your friend code

The number at the top of Friends › Add a Friend in Steam is your friend code.

  3. 3Share your code

Leave a comment, share on Discord or add people from the list. Accept the incoming friend request.

  4. 4Check your library

When your invite arrives, Deadlock shows up in your Steam library. Download it and jump into your first match.

Way 1Comments

Leave your friend code

Enter your code and it lands on the list. Players with invites add from this list. When your invite arrives, press “Got my invite” to keep the list fresh.

Write a commentNo sign-up needed; takes 30 seconds.

Your friend code and nickname are publicly visible. You can delete your comment from this browser any time.

Heads up

Invites are free

Scammers target people waiting for an invite. Three rules keep you safe.

Don't pay anyone who asks for money

Invites aren't sold. Anyone asking for money, items or codes in exchange for an invite or account is a scammer.

Don't share your password with anyone

An invite never needs a password, Steam Guard code or email access. Block anyone who asks.

Watch out for fake login pages

Only enter your Steam password in the Steam app or on steampowered.com and steamcommunity.com.
